WFDSS 3.3/3.4 Enhancements
Releases 3.3 and 3.4 significantly improve functionality and usability.
Highlights include the following:
- Maps: The legend and incident markers have been improved to show more detail.
- Values at Risk (VAR)/Values Inventory (VI): Many changes have been made with the way the VAR and VI data are stored and managed in WFDSS. Cadastral building structure data is available for the western US inf the county has shared its data. VI starts automatically whenever a Planning Area is saved or when Short-Term Fire Behavior results are being processed. VAR starts automatically when FSPro results are processed.
- Filtering: Significant additional filtering capabilities have been added to the incident list and intelligence map.
- Incident List Information: Fire Numbers have been split into 3 fields. For incidents owned by a group, the group name links to a popup window that displays all the members of the group who have Incident Author privileges.
- Automated Fire Behavior: Input parameters are now available from the Analysis perspective, and are available in more detail than in previous releases. We are working on an analyst-assisted version.
- Management Action Points (MAPs): Added for release 3.4. These MAPs are part of the default decision reporting.
- Incident Decision Process: Made several user interface changes to make the process more intuitive. The Decision Summary is added when the decision is published. Activation dates are easier to manage. The decision's View Information page has been rearranged to make it more intuitive.
- HTML download: Added the ability to download an HTML version of the decision document.
- Incident Reports: This feature is now fully functional and allows you to create custom reports.
