Deleting Shapes

You can delete shapes not used in an analysis, from the situation map or the analysis map depending on your WFDSS Role:

Note: Incident specific shapes can not be deleted while a decision is out for review/approval because the content for the decision is locked until the decision is either approved or rejected.

To delete a shape:

  1. From the Incident List, select the incident that contains the shape you want to delete.
  2. Click Assess Situation. The Situation Assessment page appears.
  3. From the Map tab in the left pane, select the layer where the incident shape is stored.
  4. Select the shape you want to delete, then click the expansion arrow to display the Layer Details below the selected shape.
  5. Click Delete Shape Tool.
  6. Click OK to confirm the deletion. When asked if you are sure you want to delete the shape, select OK.

A message displays at the top of the page confirming the successful shape deletion.
