Logging into WFDSS
The WFDSS application is intended for use by the US federal government for managing wildland fires. Only authorized users are allowed to access this application.
From the WFDSS login page, you can perform the following tasks:
- Look up a forgotten user ID or reset a password.
- Request a new user account.
- Login to WFDSS Production or Training.
- Click the WFDSS icon to navigate to the WFDSS Website Home page to access training materials, white papers, release notes, etc.
- Click on the What's New link above the login fields to navigate to a short video that describes the most recent enhancements to the WFDSS application.
- Contact the help desk via email or telephone.
- Click the National Preparedness Level link to navigate to the National Interagency Coordination Center Home page.
Before logging into this application, you need to have a valid WFDSS user account. Your user name and password is valid on both the Training and the Production systems, but your privileges will most likely be different on each.
To login to WFDSS:
- Make sure that you are in the correct version of WFDSS:
- Type your User Name. The User Name must contain only lowercase alphanumeric characters, digits, and the special characters @, underscore (_), and a period.
- Type your Password.
- Click Sign In.
The first time you sign in, you will be asked to change your password. Once you are logged in, you can select your default initial page by changing it in your system preferences.
