Understanding Locked User Accounts

Accounts become locked for the following reasons:

Caution Before unlocking a user's account, the Help Desk verifies that you are an authorized WFDSS user. Before unlocking a user's account, the Help Desk verifies that you are an authorized WFDSS user.

Before an Administrator or the Help Desk can unlock your account, they must verify the following information:

After your account is unlocked, you must login to your WFDSS account and reset your password. If you fail to unlock your account, it will disable at 270 days of inactivity. When that occurs and the user wants to begin using their account again, a GA Editor must reassign the user's role AND the IIA Helpdesk must reset the user's password.

To get your account unlocked:

  1. Contact your Administrator or the HelpDesk (+1 866.224.7677, +1 616.323.1667, or
  2. Explain you need your account unlocked. Your Administrator or the HelpDesk will verify that your Security Training is current and that you are authorized to use the WFDSS system.
  3. Follow the directions provided by the Administrator or HelpDesk.
  4. In WFDSS, reset your password.
