To submit a fire behavior analysis request:

CAUTION: Running an FSPro analysis can require significant processing power. The more fires and longer time span you enter for the model, the longer it will take to process.

  1. From the Incident list, select the incident that you want to request an analysis for.
  2. Click View Information. The Edit Incident page appears.
  3. From the left menu, select Fire Behavior Request. The Fire Behavior Analysis Request page appears.
  4. Enter the Desired Date and Time for the analysis.
  5. Enter a Rationale for the request, including specific management questions or concerns related to fire growth or spread potential you have about the incident.
  6. Select the type of fire behavior analysis you think you need, by time frame. (Short-term Fire Behavior, Near-Term Fire Behavior, or FSPro Long-Term Fire Behavior.)
  7. Enter your Contact Information and contact information for one or more local fire resources when available. Click Add Contact to List after entering each one.

Be complete as the analyst might need to contact you about the analysis. It's best if you can have at least two people on the contact list.

  8. Click Submit. The Situation Map page reappears with a message saying that your request was created successfully.

Depending on current workload and priorities, your request might take several days. You can check the status by choosing Incidents > select incident name > View Analyses. The list of analyses for the incident is in reverse chronological order, with the most recent request on top. You can use your filters to find your analysis requests.

You will receive an email when your analysis is completed.
