Wind Information Considerations (BFB & STFB)

The weather station a Fire Behavior Specialist selects for a Basic Fire Behavior (BFB) or Short Term Fire Behavior (STFB) analysis generates the Wind Information inputs required by these models. Since wind speed and direction inputs do not change during the duration of the BFB or STFB analysis, the single set of wind speed and direction provide the necessary wind information needed to run the models. You can easily modify the wind information and enter your own locally available data for these two values.
