Release Notes 8.0
8/16/2023 - Release 8.0
Security Upgrades
Two Factor Authentication
- Modified Edit User Panels to display User ID rather than Login ID.
- Removed LoginID from the Transfer Filter and Transfer Incident Group Ownership. Also, removed 'User Locked' from the Transfer Incident Group Ownership. Added sorting capability to the email address for Transfer Filter and Transfer Incident Group Ownership.
- Added "WFDSS" to the Contact Info screens to clarify the information is relating to a WFDSS account and not a PIV card or Login.gov account.
- Reversed the positions of the UserID and the LoginID fields in the User List and the Excel Download to assist with FAMAuth integration management.
- Administrators can archive users. Archived users can no longer be assigned User Roles.
- Users that select one of the following agencies (Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, or Fish and Wildlife Service) from the Contact Information must provide an email address corresponding to one of these domains: bia.gov, blm.gov, fws.gov, nps.gov, or usda.gov. This validation remains with the Email Address being moved to a separate page.
- A user's email address has been moved to its own page on the My Home page, separating it from Contact Information. This ensures that the users email must match their FAMAuth profile. When there is a mismatch, the user will not be able to log in. This change applies when a user edits their own contact information or an Administrator makes the edit.
- You can now sort by email address on the User List on the Administration tab.
- An Archive status has been added to the User List and can be used to sort. The Archive status is managed by an Administrator user role. Archived users cannot be assigned roles.
- Users that are manually disabled will have their previous roles set to disabled, noted on the User Roles page, and will be tracked in the User Audit Log.
- Removed nifc.gov email address from the list of users that are automatically granted Viewer accounts.
The previous roles shown for disabled users in Training and QA will be those of Training or QA and not those of Production or Development.
