Incidents
WFDSS' primary purpose is to assist you in making effective decisions as you manage wildland fire incidents. WFDSS enables you to manage all the information, analyses, and decisions about an incident in a single, web-based application.
The tasks in this section primarily apply to Dispatchers, Authors, and Editors, and explain the following:
- Incident filters (including incident name and year)
- Defining Temporary Incident/Intelligence Filters
- Creating and editing incidents
- Viewing incident details
- Assigning and transferring ownership of an incident
- Calculating relative risk
- Creating management action points
- Calculating SCI
- Assessing the situation
- Setting incident objectives and requirements
- Completing a course of action
- Generating KMZ files
- Using the Incident Content Library Fly-Out menu option
