Versioning a Management Action Point

Versioning allows incident owners and editors to re-use and modify a previously activated M.A.P.

Note: If you haven't published a decision that contains the M.A.P., you can simply edit the M.A.P., and don't need to create a new version.

The new version of the M.A.P. becomes the default for the next decision that is published for the incident.

You can make modifications on this newly created version until it is published in a decision.

To version an MAP:

  1. From the Incident List, select the incident that you want to version Management Action Points (M.A.P.s) for.
  2. Click View Information. The Edit Incident Information page appears.
  3. Click Mgmt Action Points. The Management Action Points List page appears.
  4. Select the M.A.P. you want to create a new version for.
  5. Click View. The View MAP page appears.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click Create New Version. The page refreshes and the fields become editable again.
  7. Make any necessary edits.
  8. Click Save.

The Management Action Point list page reappears, and both the new and old versions' M.A.P. IDs are updated (e.g., MAP 1 becomes MAP 1v1 and the new version becomes MAP 1v2).

You can modify the new version until it is published in a decision.
