Data Management
- Added asterisk in front of a unit name for Unit Filters and Planning Area Notification List that indicates inactive units per the NWCG Unit Identification system.
- Added Geographic Area None to represent areas outside of US GACC boundaries. This prevented the daily summary report from completing correctly.
Incidents
- Text boxes for the Relative Risk and Organization Assessment have been enlarged.
- The cost estimator spreadsheet (available for download on the Cost tab ) reflects the latest 2021 version
Analysis
- Fixed a bug that caused system generated and automated Basic Fire Behavior to fail if the backup winds data was unavailable.
- Analyses copied from an existing analysis now lists the copied analysis ID in the Analysis Report.
- Fixed a bug that caused LCP creation failures when masks were included in the LCP. This change automatically resends the LCP for creation.
Decisions
- Fixed a bug that does not allow a decision to be edited after it was sent for Approval.
- Added labels to Values Inventories in Advanced Decisions to clarify which shape was the source for the inventory. Ensured the Spatial Fire Planning Inventory is included in the Planning Area inventory.
Data Layers
- Updated historic perimeter maps layers for the change in calendar year.
- The Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS) layer now has a question mark link to the Help Topic on MTBS from the layer switcher.
- Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS) data was added for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. This data was automatically added to user's preferences. Not all years are available in some areas.
- Fixed a bug to remove excessive text from the legend for the Fuel Treatment layer.
- Fixed the disturbance history layer on the analysis results map in Training.
- Updated the Geographic Area boundaries and ensured the units with different Geographic Areas correctly function and display in the User Preferences, Data Management, and Contact Information sections of WFDSS.

IRWIN
- Preparing for the IRWIN release 7.1 by ensuring deleted records are set to: Incident Category False Alarm, Incident Kind Fire Management Action, invalid, and have an Incident Size of 0 acres.
- Preparing for the IRWIN release 7.1 by displaying the Incident Type Category on the Incident Information page and tracking changes to the field in the Incident History.
- Preparing for the IRWIN release 7.1 by adding space to the database to hold the two-character code indicating Incident Type Category.
- Preparing for the IRWIN release 7.1 by ensuring data exchanges correctly with IRWIN for the WFDSS Incident Size field after the data element name changed in IRWIN from "Daily Acres" to "Incident Size."
- In preparation for IRWIN release 7.1, False Alarm incidents that exchange with IRWIN will require an Incident Size of zero.
- Fixed a bug where an IRWIN issue was created in WFDSS after a closed connection was re-established.
- Tracking whether an Incident is Valid or Not Valid has been added to the Incident History when the incident comes from IRWIN.
System Support
- Modified code to prepare for a future Java version upgrade.
- Fixed an issue where messages from WFDSS could not be sent as text messages (Feedbacks, Group Emails, etc.).
- Modified code in preparation for removal/upgrade of log4j in a future release.
- Fixed a bug where the system recorded a "last access date" when a disabled, unlocked user tries to log in.
- Naming conventions for all GIS Servers were standardized to improve file recognition and connection work. The file connections for the four (4) GIS databases in each GIS Server more clearly display their connection status.
- Added a feature allowing WFDSS to connect to the updated VIIRS/MODIS service without a code release.
System Utilities
- Fixed a bug where the system did not correctly test for a password expiration and locked status when a system administrator Disabled an account.
