Using the Template Editor

Incident Owners, Data Managers, GA and National Editors use the Template Editor to create, modify, add tables or images in each section of a report template, or completely delete a section of the template.

To add text to a Report Template:

  1. From the Reports List click Create, or click Edit Report Templates from the Template List. The Template Editor opens.
  2. Select the section of the Report Template you want to add text.
  3. Position the cursor in the text box and begin typing and formatting.
  4. After you have completed typing for each section of the template, click Save.

When you are done adding content, you can navigate back to the Report List or Template List to Check-In the Report Template.

To edit a Report Template:

  1. From the Template List, click Create, or click Edit Report Templates. The text editor opens.
  2. Position the cursor in the text box and begin typing and formatting.
  3. After you have modified the information for each section, click Save.

To add an image to a Report Template:

  1. From the Reports List click Create, or click Edit Report Templates from the Template List. The Template Editor opens.
  2. Select the section of the Report Template you want to add the image.
  3. Navigate to the Images Folder in the lower left corner of the Template Editor.
  4. Select the image to insert.
  5. Place your cursor in the Template Editor pane (large area on the right side of the Template Editor page) where you want the image to appear.
  6. Click the WFDSS Insert Content Icon WFDSS Clipboard icon to insert the content. (The icon is on the upper left side of the Template Editor).
  7. Click Save. The image is now part of the Report Template.

When you are done adding the image, you can navigate back to the Report List or Template List to Check-In the Report Template.

To add a table to a Report Template:

  1. From the Report List click Create, or from the Template List click Edit Report Templates. The Template Editor opens.
  2. Locate the Report Template section you want to edit, select it from the list, and then click Edit.
  3. Place your cursor in the Template Editor where want to add the table and:
    • Cut or Copy text or a table from inside or outside of WFDSS and paste using Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V or the cut, copy and paste tools, or
    • Click the Create/Edit table tool to create a table and add content to the table cells.
  4. Click Save.

When you are done adding the table, you can navigate back to the Report List or Template List to Check-In the Report Template.
