Creating an Analysis Note

Fire Behavior Specialists and Incident Owners/Editors (that have been given analysis edit privileges) can add notes to analyses associated with their incidents. You can add notes to the following pages:

If you copy an analysis, the notes are also copied. You can add additional notes and edit or delete existing notes at any time. Text boxes have character limits which can be easily exceeded when copying formatted text from outside the application.

To create a note for an analysis:

  1. From the Analysis List, select the analysis that you want to annotate.
  2. Click View Information. The Analysis Information page appears.
  3. From the left menu, choose Notes to create a note. The Analysis Notes page appears and displays a drop-down list, a text box, and a list of existing notes (if any exist).
  4. To create a new note, use the drop-down list to select the page that you would like the note to appear on (notes can only be entered for the Results page after Results exist). Enter the text for the new note in the text box, then click Add Note.
  5. The note is added to the Notes list. You can create additional Notes if desired.
  6. When you are finished, click Return. The analysis page that you were previously on will appear and any Notes entered for that page will appear in a bar at the top.
  7. The arrow at the left of the Notes bar can be toggled to show or hide notes as desired.
