Viewing Analysis Notes

Any WFDSS user can view analysis notes for completed analyses from the Analysis List from within a run or a report. However, only Fire Behavior Specialists or those who have been granted analysis editing privileges can create notes for the fire behavior tools in WFDSS. Analysts often use the Notes sections to document critical information regarding run inputs and information.

To view analysis notes:

  1. From the Incident List, select the incident > click View Information > choose Incident Analysis. select the analysis > click either View Report or View Information. You can view analysis notes using one of these three methods:
    1. Select the analysis > click View Notes.
    2. Select the analysis > click View Information > select Notes from the left-hand menu.
    3. Select the analysis > click View Report > scroll to the Analysis Information section > locate the Information Annotations.

All Notes associated with the selected analysis are displayed. If you do not see a note for the analysis, none has been created. If you have editing privileges for the analysis, you can create a note.
